Me and my daughter love these shorts (we got the striped ones too)& we both love them so much more, with each wear!! They're so durable and the fabric holds up sooo well to stains & stain remover(I was afraid the fabric would be too delicate for stain remover-but not so!), they are so soft, the fit is perfect, length is perfect, I could just keep going on and on. The waistband would probably go further in a child's lifespan, if they were made with drawstrings(like the Sandstone and denim pairs have). But the waistband DOES lay flatter against the child's stomach since no drawstring, so probably a comfort factor when Little Sleepies designed this. They still work perfectly and my child loves them MORE than her drawstring pairs anyways. I buy her a size 10 in all bottoms/tops/&pjs and she is 56 lbs and 54" tall & has a chubby tubby & doesn't like tight clothing) and this size has been perfect for us so far! Gives her extra length to the dresses, which fall between knee and mid calf which is perfect, tops fall appropriately at her waistline, leggings /pj pants have about 2-3" of bunched up fabric for her to grow into but not too much that makes it look enormous, and the shorts fall right above her knees which is exactly what style she loves wearing! Little Sleepies knocks sizing for children out of the park and no idea how they can accommodate so many body types in one style of clothing, but it works beautifully!
