Here at LS, we believe in the power of stories — especially those that shine a light on the incredible women making the world brighter for our children! 


So, this Women’s History Month, we're spotlighting modern-day heroines. Through their resilience, creativity and commitment, they can inspire us all to dream bigger, strive for excellence and create a more inclusive world for the next generation.


From trailblazers in science and technology to pioneers in the arts and social justice, these women embody the spirit of innovation and compassion. Their stories can show our children that with determination and heart, they too can make a difference in the world.

Gitanjali Rao: The Young Innovator

At just 15 years old, Gitanjali Rao was recognized as TIME's first-ever "Kid of the Year" for her inventions aimed at solving global problems. From creating a device that detects lead in drinking water to developing an app that helps prevent cyberbullying, Gitanjali can teach our little ones that they're never too young to innovate and problem-solve! 

Her achievements highlight the importance of STEM education and encourage children everywhere to think creatively in tackling the challenges of tomorrow.


Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett: The Vaccine Pioneer

Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett is an amazing scientist who played a big role in creating the COVID-19 vaccine. She's an expert in understanding how our immune system works, which helped her develop a vaccine quickly — offering hope and protection to millions of families worldwide. 

Dr. Corbett's story is an inspiration for kids who dream of exploring the mysteries of science and making a big difference in the world. Her hard work and dedication to science show how important women are in the field of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). 


Malala Yousafzai: The Voice of Education

Reshma Saujani: The Tech Visionary

By starting Girls Who Code, Reshma Saujani created a special place where girls learn to speak the language of computers — coding! This awesome group helps girls imagine themselves in tech careers, showing the world that anyone can be a computer scientist.

Reshma’s efforts are helping to make sure everyone, no matter if they're a boy or a girl, has a fair chance to create and discover new things in the world of technology. Her vision is making a big difference, encouraging girls to chase their dreams in STEM, and to break through any obstacle in their way.
