If your baby isn't rolling yet but is starting to break free from the swaddle consistently, that can also be a natural cue to transition. There are a few signs to watch for: sweating, flushed or red skin, rapid breathing, or damp hair. If your baby feels hot to the touch on their chest or back of the neck, that's a good indicator they need a lighter layer.
