Positive Vibes Infant Gown product page

Yes, when used correctly, baby gowns are a safe and practical option for newborns. The key is making sure the gown fits well and that there's no excess fabric that could bunch around your baby's face during sleep. Our infant gowns are designed with safe sleep in mind: no snaps, buttons, or interior tags to irritate delicate skin, and fold-over mittens to prevent scratching. As with any sleepwear, always place your baby on their back to sleep and follow current safe sleep guidelines from your pediatrician.

Infant gowns are a newborn parenting shortcut you didn't know you needed. The open bottom hem means diaper changes take seconds, no unsnapping or unzipping required at 3 AM. Our gowns also feature fold-over mittens to keep tiny nails from scratching, lap shoulders for easy dressing, and no interior tags against sensitive or eczema-prone skin. Made with Lunaluxe®, the fabric is ultra-soft and seasonless, keeping babies comfortable year-round without overheating.

Our infant gowns are sized to fit approximately 5 to 15 pounds, making them ideal from birth through around 3 months. Some babies stay in them a little longer depending on their size and how quickly they grow. Once your baby starts becoming more active and kicking their legs more intentionally, you might find that our Zippies become a better fit for their stage. Until then, gowns are one of the most practical things you can dress a newborn in.
